Based in Ottawa in the National Capital Region of Canada, the company operates internationally. We are federally incorporated under the laws of Canada and are a member of the Canadian Producers Association (CMPA) and the ACE Network. Headed by veteran producer Michael Dobbin, the company takes pride in bringing Canada, Europe and the World together on screen. Michael takes pride in bringing Canada, Europe and the World together on screen. With Hungary’s KMH Films, Michael recently completed production on György Pálfi’s screen adaptation of Stanislav Lem’s classic sci-fi novel His Master’s Voice (set for release in 2018). Recent titles include the Justin Simms directed Away from Everywhere (2017) starring Shawn Doyle, Joanne Kelly and Jason Priestley, adapted from the award-winning novel by Chad Pelley (now in production); the Méliès d’Argent-winning debut of Boris Rodriguez: Eddie – The Sleepwalking Cannibal (2012) and Endre Hules’ The Maiden Danced (2011) which was presented in 20 countries and over 30 international film festivals, and was considered as Hungary’s nomination for the Best Foreign Language Oscar® at the 85th Academy Awards. The film was shot by Academy Award-winning cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond. Past producer credits include Toni Harman’s Credo (2008) and David Chernushenko’s award-winning Powerful: Energy for Everyone (2010). A fixture at the international markets of Cannes, Toronto and Berlin, Michael is a regular invitee and participant of high-profile events such as ACE Mundus, the Producers Lab and the International Financing Forum at TIFF; Producers Without Borders at Cannes and Berlin; the Producers Network at Cannes; the inaugural year of Trans-Atlantic Partners; Strategic Partners; IFP in New York; as well as the International Co Production Market at Berlin. In 2014 and 2015, Michael was invited by Telefilm Canada to participate in special delegation of Canadian producers at the Euro-Latin American Co Production Forum in San Sebastian. In his early career, Michael worked in the UK with one of Europe’s top script-development agencies, Arista Development and was mentored by BAFTA and Peabody-winning producer Leslee Udwin. He’s an alumnus of Toronto’s Ryerson University. He is active on the Ontario Media Development Corporation’s Screen Advisory Committee, and as a story editor, script doctor and lecturer is in demand on both sides of the Atlantic.

Andrew’s background as a project manager began with his early career in England working for multi-nationals including CNN and Walmart. His previous projects have included technical implementations for clients such as Banque Paribas, Avis, Turner Broadcasting and GE Capital along with the operations management of products such as Reuters 1000 and the media tagging and control system pioneered by Edit.tv. His dynamic trans-Atlantic and multi industry project experience is now at work with Quiet Revolution Pictures.

In addition to working with Quiet Revolution Pictures as an acquisitions consultant, Tom serves as Executive Director of the Canadian Film Institute and as a sessional lecturer in Film Studies, at Carleton University. He is a freelance on-air film critic for CBC Radio One and has written extensively on Canadian and international cinema.
